*sigh* I fail at doing discouraging, tedious studying. I spent 3 hours looking up every other word in the reading I'm supposed to do for Japanese. And I only finished 1 page! I'm not absorbing anything, and I don't know what the story I'm reading is about, because I'm too busy trying to figure out what each individual word means! And discouraged, not-learning me is easily distracted. Ugh, I really have my doubts about this quarter.

Sorry, that sucks. My only thought is, if you're doing THAT much looking up, maybe you should just write down a translation as you go so that you can at least read your translation later.
Yeah, I have to figure out something and at least make sure I understand the gist of the story as I go. I really need to think up a system that works for me, and - unfortunately - 4 more weeks of the quarter isn't a long time to work that out.
